NHL trade deadlines are only a few weeks away, and the league’s trade deadline has already seen a flurry of players getting moves.
The Bruins have already received the rights to forwards Brad Marchand and David Pastnak, and Bruins defenseman Zach Trotman and Sabres center Ryan O’Reilly are also expected to get dealt, as is Philadelphia Flyers forward Chris VandeVelde.
The Blackhawks have also received a third-round pick for defenseman Brandon Bollig, and Philadelphia Flyers winger Jakub Voracek has been added to the list of Flyers available assets, according to a report from CBSSports.com’s Dan Rosen.
The Bruins, in the meantime, have gotten one more forward in the deal of defenseman Zachary Werenski and forwards Patrick Sharp and David Nyquist.
They will receive defenseman Michael Dal Colle, forward Michael Ryder, center Brandon Carlo and a second-round draft pick.
The Sabres have also gotten defenseman Erik Karlsson, forward Justin Falk, center Alex Galchenyuk and forward Taylor Hall.
The Stars have also got forwards Cody Eakin, Cody Eberle, Cody O’Donnell and forward Jyrki Jokipakka.
The Stars are also getting defenseman Ben Bishop and a third round pick in exchange for forward Alex Pietrangelo.
The Blues have also made a few moves, with forward Jake Allen and defenseman Justin Faulk going to Buffalo, and forward Cody Ceci going to Chicago.
The Penguins are also dealing with a trade deadline and acquiring defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk.
The deal with Pittsburgh is expected to net defenseman David Backes, a second round pick and forward Brett Pesce.
The Kings are also trying to find a trade partner for defenseman Drew Doughty.
The Kings have traded defenseman Matt Niskanen to the Tampa Bay Lightning and a fifth-round selection in exchange, according the New York Post’s Bob McKenzie.
The Flyers have received a fourth-round choice in the trade of defenseman Michal Neuvirth to the Calgary Flames.
The Flyers also have moved forward Travis Konecny to Buffalo and a sixth-round conditional pick in the Konecsy trade to the Sabres.
The Canadiens are also looking to add a player for defenseman Max Pacioretty.
Montreal has sent defenseman Matt Hunwick to the Buffalo Sabres and a fourth round pick, which the Flyers acquired in the Krejci deal.
The Lightning are looking to land goaltender Ben Bishop, a third to fourth round selection in the Kings-Habs deal and a seventh-round second rounder in exchange.
The Ducks are also interested in acquiring a player to bolster their goaltending depth, and they’ve acquired forward Kyle Palmieri from the St. Louis Blues in exchange to move forward Ryan Getzlaf and defenseman Anthony Duclair.
The Coyotes have also dealt defenseman Mikko Koivu and forward Sam Reinhart to the Edmonton Oilers.
The Predators are also hoping to add to their goalies depth, as they acquired goaltender Ryan Miller from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange with a third and fourth round draft pick in return for defenseman Anthony Bitetto and a conditional second-rounder in return.
The Sharks are also continuing to look to add players to their depth chart, and defenseman Adam Cracknell was acquired in a trade with the Edmonton Oil Kings.
The Sharks are expected to receive forward Michael Grabner, a fourth to fifth round pick as compensation for defenseman Aaron Ekblad and a first-round fourth-rounder to move forwards Kyle Turris and Patrick Maroon.
The Panthers are also adding defenseman Aaron Rome to their defense, along with a fourth, seventh and seventh round draft picks to move up to the fifth spot.
The Wild are also still looking for help on the blueline, and it looks like they’ve landed another defenseman in defenseman Jake Virtanen.
The Islanders are hoping to get a third defenseman in return from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange that would give them defenseman Anthony Beauvillier and a 2017 second round draft selection, and goalie Ryan Miller.
The Rangers are also in the process of acquiring defenseman Andrei Vasilevskiy.
The Canucks are expected at least to get some additional help on their blueliners depth chart.
They’re expected to send defenseman Mike Cammalleri and a 2018 second round selection to the Florida Panthers in exchange of defenseman Brandon Davidson and a 2020 second round prospect.
The Capitals are also seeking more defensive help in return, and are hoping that a deal between Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Kevin Klein and the Philadelphia Penguins will help.
The Avalanche are also reportedly looking to trade defenseman Jussi Jokinen to acquire defenseman Josh Anderson.
The Flames are also attempting to add defensive help to their bluedos depth chart by sending defenseman Erik Johnson to Colorado.
The Flames also have acquired defenseman Matt Irwin and a 2019 first round draft choice.
